The Labrador Retriever Club of Queensland's Championship Show 2007 Schedule

Please find attached the Schedule for the LRCQ Inc. 2007 Championship Show. The Judge is Mrs. Lisa Weiss from New York, USA. Included here, is part of her resume.

My kennel prefix is "Lobuff" and I have been breeding and showing for 38 years and judging for 15 yrs.

I have bred over 40 Champions and have won Best of Breed at Westminster KC twice as well as judged there. My father and I are one of the few ( 3 I believe ) father/daughter judges ... he has been judging since the 70s. I have also had the very good fortune of winning the Labrador Retriever Club of the Potomac BoB - 3 times and am the only breeder to ever do so. First with Ch Lobuff's Bare Necessities CD JH, his granddaughter Ch Lobuff's Turtle Dove and her daughter Ch Lobuff's Puffin at Hollyridge. The year Puffin was BoB I had the amazing luck of also having Winners Bitch with a black bitch I have from Marion Hopkinson, Rocheby Replica. I have also won the brood bitch class there more than anyone else, which is an extreme honour. This year I have the #3 Lab in the US and will be competing with her at the AKC/Eukanuba Classic in California as well as at Westminster in February ... she is a 6 time specialty winner, and a sister of Puffin, called Piper. Last year, Puffin was the #1 Lab in the US and is the bitch record holder for all breed Best in Shows and the breed record holder for specialty BoB with 14 to her name.

Aside from showing our dogs at Bench events, we do Obedience and Hunt tests and strive to have triple purpose dogs. I have worked in the breeding and puppy programme at the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind here in New York for over 20 years. I have judged many specialties here in the States, probably about 20, as well as all of our premier shows. I have judged several Lab and Golden specialties in Canada and have judged in Finland as well.
